The size of the jar you will need depends on the volume of what you plan to put in it.

2 Ounce Jar - Ideal for small batches of balms, butters, and 1-2 ounces of dense roots or herbal powders.

4 Ounce Jar - Ideal for large volume butters, whipped butters, fluffy or light herbs such as Calendula in 1/2 ounce weights.

8 Ounce Jar - Ideal for extra large batches of butters, scrubs, whipped butters, fluffy or light herbs such as Calendula in 2 ounce weights, and dense roots and herbs in 4-5 ounce weights. Additionally, this is a great jar for long infusion such as with your own infused herbal oils. 

32 Ounce Jar - Ideal for extra large batches of fluffy herbs such as Calendula in weights up to 7-8 ounces, and blends or dense roots and herbs in weights up to 12-13 ounces. A wonderful jar to have around for unique tea blends that you would like to keep fresh. Additionally, this is a great jar for long infusion such as with your own infused herbal oils, or tea infusions that require long steep times and larger volume.
